Why is it more expensive than other jerky?

Because it's a completely different product. Every 100g pack starts as roughly 300g of raw grass-fed beef, hand-trimmed and slowly dehydrated down in small batches. You're getting three times the beef per pack compared to what you hold in your hand. Most jerky pads out weight with sugar, water, and cheap fillers. We don't. You're paying for real beef, concentrated.

Is the fat in the jerky a good thing?

Yes. Fat is flavour. In premium beef visible fat means you're getting the natural marbling that gives the jerky its buttery richness and satisfying texture. We don't trim every trace of fat away because that would strip the product of what makes it taste this good.

How much beef is used?

Each 100g pack starts with ~300g of raw beef. The meat is hand-trimmed, salted, and dehydrated in small batches using a traditional low-and-slow method. Not air-dried, not mass-produced, just crafted with care and precision

Why did you make this kind of jerky?

Because it didn't exist.

We looked at the snack aisle and saw the same thing everywhere: long ingredient lists, added sugars, preservatives, and fillers dressed up as "healthy." So we stripped it all back and asked a simple question: what if a snack was just real food?

That's what Mason's Meats is.
Just two ingredients: 100% British grass-fed beef and Anglesey sea salt.
No sugar. No nitrates. No additives. Nothing else.

And here's what surprised even us: when you remove everything that doesn't belong, what you're left with isn't just clean.
It's salty, buttery, crisp, and deeply satisfying.
The kind of taste you wouldn't expect from something this good for you.

That's what makes this different.
Most "healthy" snacks ask you to compromise on flavour. Ours doesn't. We proved that clean eating and proper indulgence aren't opposites -they're the same thing- when you start with the right ingredients.

We didn't set out to reinvent snacking. We just went back to what food was always supposed to be.

How long will my order stay fresh?
  • Sealed: Up to 9 months (perfect for stocking up).
  • Opened: For the best flavor and texture, we recommend consuming within 2-3 days.
  • Storage: No fridge needed! Just keep it in a cool, dry place.

Does it need to be refrigerated?

No. The jerky is shelf-stable and doesn't need refrigeration. Store it somewhere cool and dry. Shelf life is 9 months from production, though we'd bet it won't last a week once you open it.

Is it suitable for keto, paleo, or other diets?

Yes! With no added sugars it's perfect for keto, paleo, carnivore, and low-carb lifestyles. Each serving provides high protein with 0g carbs.​ It's completely gluten-free.

NUTRITION & INFO

The brisket comes from the lower chest of the cow, a hardworking muscle with plenty of connective tissue. That’s why it’s famous for rich flavour and a balance of lean and fat. Each pack is crafted from around 300g of raw beef, slowly dehydrated down to 100g, giving you a dense, flavour-packed jerky with deep, beefy notes.
